Here is the mid-tempo Sunshower mix with original artwork.  And yes, the title was indeed inspired by Dr. Buzzard’s Original Savannah Band.  I believe I did this one in Colette’s basement in Chicago.  This was an exercise in keeping the pace at a casual jaunt, using rich textures, colorful instrumentation, and having a ‘Sunday afternoon in the park’ mood.  It’s one of those projects I felt turned out quite well from start to finish.  So enjoy a little Sunshower one sunny afternoon – bask yourself in its rays, soak it up, drink it in…Enjoy!

I have loved this mix for many years and have it on my IPOD, but it sounds sooo bad… recorded off a old tape which I still have tucked away just in case, and Now I can hear it sound so amazing as I once remember…THANK YOU

I just stumbled across this page, I had no idea that this was available for download. Like Jones, I wore out the mixtape I bought at Tweekin in SF. Thank you SO much for making this available — you have made more than just my Sunday. Cheers!

Many thanks for keeping this posted! I can’t say I am a fan of dance music, but being born and raised in Chicago, I can’t help to mention Miles Maeda, when ever any music conversation turns to House. Real heads know, and every time I listen to this mix I am reminded of the fact that despite the concept of “genre” certain individuals have the ability to transcend superficial concepts and labels, and inform the “misinformed” that good music is good music plain and simple.

I picked this up in SF in the late 90’s. Bought it because of the album art. I could just tell it would be smooth. Sure enough it is. I played this tape so many times, and eventually it fell by the wayside, as many things do. The optimism this mix gives off, calls me back to those days where anything seemed possible, and any path could be traveled through life. Now I’m almost 40, and while there are fewer paths to choose from, this reminds me to follow the positive light. 🙂

An absolute gem. Spot on mix and proper selection of songs. You make me happy when I hear your mixes. Thank you for that.
